San Deigo SEO Unprofessional

I've written before about Doug Cooper, a self proclaimed SEO, there's no stopping this guy, although he gave up his hold on the domain name of a ex-client(after we reported him to Icann and godaddy, his unprofessional was a shock to this real SEO professional. I came into contact chiropractor who was being ripped off by this SEO cowboy, so agreed to help him get control back of his domain name and blog. Although Doug Cooper never gave access it the blog, after we reported him to icann for holding a domain name of a clients, he did surrender the website name. About being unprofessional though, this guy takes the cake, simple emails requesting he give access back to a domain name, was replied to in several long involved emails, where he not only outlined, but also gave long explanations of how this client had wronged him, telling personal information about his client, something he had not right or reason to do, we only ever read the first couple of lines, and would reply that all we were only interested in getting was the domain name back into the control of his client, where it was supposed to have been in the first place. This poor client, paid over $2000 and since this seo cowboy never gave the logins to the blog, all this ex-client got was 3 months hosting, the blog is still locked, so we rebuilt it, but changing the wording to actually making it SEO friendly. Just a word of warning, Check out your seo before you start forking out your money. Regards Lynn International SEO based in Hillcrest, San Diego, Southern California

SEO work quickly in search engine

The next blog post, I posted about 75 minutes ago, http://seointernetmarketingseo.blogspot.com/2009/05/san-diego-seo-rip-off-holding-domain.html and already a search for Doug Cooper seo San Diego That post ranks 5th on page one. That's just proof of how quickly any seo work, or changes to a blog or website can get into search engines. How long will it stay ranked that well, who knows, but I'll keep writing about this seo cowboy until I think enough people know about him, and at least can make an informed decision about working with him. When you are considering using an seo you should check them out first. Since non of his burnt clients, and I have spoken to a couple already are willing to post about their bad experiences, doesn't mean they are as great as they say they are. I came to edit this post, I originally posted it at 12:37:00 PM and it was already in google at 1.12 35 minutes, post to in google results.... now Regards Lynn Brown SEO San Diego International SEO based in Hillcrest, San Diego, Southern California

San Diego SEO rip-off holding domain name

My last post was about a bad seo in San Diego, http://seointernetmarketingseo.blogspot.com/2009/05/seo-san-diego-2000-for-3-months-seo.html the plot thickens, although this seo charged this client $2000 to create this blog I spoke about in that post, now this SEO is threatening to hold the domain name he brought for the client. When I say hold, I mean keep it and use it to another unsuspecting client. He's also not going to give his client the blog he created, which would only take a couple of minutes to download, zip up and send to the client.... this sux bigtime. The domain name is a good one seowise it's www.painreliefsd.com the sd at the end is for San Diego, so this seo cowboy could reuse this generic domain name for many clients, at the moment it's still being used for www.mairschiropractic.com I wonder how many times this seo cowboy is going to use this name and for how many clients. My client a chiropracter in Mission Valley, was reluctant to give me this cowboys name, but doing a few searches, I found out this rippoff SEO's name is Doug Cooper and his company is freshcutinteractive.com if you are considering using him, I suggest you contact the chiropracter above and ask him for a reference, I'll be doing some checking around about him myself. If you are already one of his clients, and are happy enough with your seo results, make sure you ask this guy to transfer any domains he has brought for you to you. Transferring domain names is VERY EASY and should not cost anymore that $20, we do it for free for our clients, but that's just because we don't believe in this kind ripoff, and so we don't buy names for our clients at all, we help them to buy their own names. SEO San Diego $2000 for 3 months SEO Cowboy

I have yet another seo client, a new client, this time a chiropractor who operates down in Mission Valley. He's been burnt by an seo cowboy here in San Diego. SEO cowboys make me so mad, it's so annoying to have these sleazy SEO's give SEO's in general a bad name. This SEO Cowboy Charges $2000 for 3 months SEO services, a far enough price you might think, and it is a good price for what this SEO on the surface has done, the results after a couple of weeks... So what did this SEO Cowboy from San Diego do? Built a website, which is I guess ok looking, no I don't, the pages aren't ok, no graphics at all, no text formatting, just a dark brown site, (Brown for a site about health and pain relief, I don't think so) this pretty "home built" looking website was 13 webpages again nothing special, (in fact darn boring pages) but 13 webpages. Initial less than basic SEO. Whats else is wrong with that you may wonder? Darn near everything!!
  • The content for all the pages has been copied and pasted from other websites on the internet.
  • Pages have so called references from Patients, they may have been partly true, but they had been doctored or faked, in a lame attempt at SEO.
  • Links off site. there are several links to other websites that aren't necessary. (except the text was an exact copy from these other websites) Some of these links opened in the same window.
  • There's a novice SEO theory that "If you repeat any keywords or a phrase on a webpage or webpages enough you will probably rank ok for that exact phrase". But there only so many times a website visitor wants to read a phrase on a website, this sleazy SEO used the same phrase an average of 20 times on every page.
  • The site itself was built on a popular Free blog template site, so there was absolutely no skills whatsoever required to build.
  • On this SEO's website they gloat about some of the SEO jobs they have done, and the results of their work, 2 places I rang, said they had never heard of this SEO cowboy, and 2 other's had said they had used him and were very upset with the results, I'm actually discussing with both these ex-clients about me doing real SEO on their sites...
Content: Coping wording from another website is illegal, unless you have the express premission from the writer of the words, this is often not the website owner. Apart from the legalities of copying text from another website, the website you copied the text from will always rank higher than yours once the search engines search results settle down. Any changes to a webpage will usually rank highly for a couple of weeks, then usually within a month the rank of the webpage will start slipping until it settles at it's new position in search engine results.** Patients References It's very obvious the references have been doctored or added too, and reflects badly on the Chiropractor, rather than the SEO that faked them. So a good chiropractor that has done some wonderful work with car accident patients, sports injuries, long term pain patients has lost credibility because this SEO Cowboy doesn't know his stuff and added . Links Links to another website, should be discouraged unless they link back to your site, which is standard practice. Links offsite should always open in a new window, otherwise you have just lost a potential customer. Keywords Any real seo knows that simply repeating particular keywords or a phrase on a webpages does gaurantee your visitors will see the those words 20 times each time they open another page and think they are overkill, but this does not guarantee a site will rank highly for those words. This cowboy SEO used a particular phrase "San Diego Chiropractic" 260 times at least one the site, and yet a search for those words in that order without, the site doesn't show in the first 10 pages of google search worst case senario should have had the site ranked at #5 on the 1st page, with the quotation marks which at the worst case senario should have had the site ranked at #5 on the 1st page, again the site didn't show in the 1 st 100 search engine placements. This is an outragously bad SEO results. If seo had of been done correctly like I would have or will do, this Chiropractors website will rank or should rank about 8th at worse case. To get to 1st for that particular phrase, since it so highly sort after would cost about $5-$8000, to rank well for say 30 other less sort after phrases, which would net possibley 6 times more visitors and consequently new patients, would cost about half that.... Changes on webpages. **This fact that any changes to a webpage will result in a temporary high ranking in search engines, is often used by cowboy or sleazy SEO's to trick their clients into believing that the SEO has worked, you really can't tell the final search engine position of SEO for about 6 weeks after the results are made. eg: a change on a webpage may result in these sorts of results. #2 A week later #3 2 weeks later, #4 3 weeks later. #13 4 weeks later #20 5 weeks later #23 final position without more seo Using Free Blogs Templates. While there's nothing wrong with using a blog template, they are notoriously idiot proof, not saying children are idiots, but I have seen websites built by 7-8 years olds that have flair or are more attractive. What I am saying is you can't charge a client as much to build a website on a blog template where menu's and layout are just a case of checking out unchecking a box that says do you want this, or that, and then copying and pasting the page content from another site, the chiroprater supplied they links or they came from his own mature site. the whole site would have taken an experienced webdesigner, maybe 2 hours to complete, with 2 coffee breaks, but a site like that can't be compared to website that has been built by a professional web designer, and the SEO thats is supposed to have been done on the site, doesn't even require an SEO cowboy to have read one chapter of an seo book.... more like about 3 paragraphs read out of context. I looked at this blog website just 7 days ago, when I was first contacted, and while it was doing ok in searches then, already those same searches for the main part, don't show this site in the results for the 1st 100 results. 2 out of the 10 search I did, faired a little better, both were at ranked 4th 7 days ago, now one is at 42nd place and one at 54rd place in search engine results, this is the worst drop in placements so quickly I have ever witnessed. When you have been bitten by an SEO cowboy like this one, please don't think that all seo's are the same, there are a few of us, ring me at 619 269 572 or email me at help1@seobycanz.com I'd be happy to discuss your websites ranking in search engines and if it can improved. Regards Lynn Ok, enough of a rave, seo cowboys give us good SEO's a bad name, and there are at least 30 seo cowboys to every half way ok SEO. Us professional SEO's are as rear as hens teeth. And don't be fooled, don't believe you get what you pay for, I've worked on a website where they owner had paid almost 50k and had it doing better in search engines on a stable bases for over a year now for $5,500 International SEO based in Hillcrest, San Diego, Southern California

Black Hat SEO vs Sleazy SEO

There’s another type of SEO, which is called blackhat SEO, if the owner knows it's going on, and sleazy SEO if the website owner doesn't know about it.

Blackhat SEO is SEO that works, unless Google finds out you are doing it, but is considered cheating. This site I talk about has been doing it for at least 5 years that I know about and has never changed the page.

The "blackhat SEO" technique I'm talking about is when someone adds keywords or keyphrases that are the same colour as the background to a page, take a look at the front page of this site
natures pic. com take out the spaces, I don't want to give them a link :(

When the page opens, do a control A on your keyboard which means "select all" and see all those keywords down each side of the page? That when you unselect aren't visible , this is a blackhat SEO technique that is often used to help a site rank better for a particular or several keywords or phrases.

I first come across this website when I was doing SEO on our photo bank, as I couldn't understand why it was doing so well for a particular phrase that I was trying to do well in too.
I have heard that if Google becomes aware of a site doing this it will be blacklisted, I have never known of a case where this has happened, but it has been reported several times on forums, of course once the site is gone, it's too late to see it lol.

There are better ways that are called "whitehat SEO" of getting a site ranking well that aren't cheating, but I thought I would show you techniques that are used by some SEO's, that could possibly get a site taken out of search engines, and where the owner of the website didn't even know it was happening.

So if you have had SEO done on your site, it pays to do this little check hopefully before you pay your SEO, and be warned if your SEO has done this, as - in all probability - they have used other blackhat techniques that may get your site banned.

Sleazy SEO's Tricks 2

This story is an all-too-common one.

Making the google page rank the highest it can be is the hardest job for an SEO to do. It takes many many hours of work. And the higher the page rank is, the higher the website will rank for popular keywords.

I have seen many many SEO's that have made deals with the owners of large websites with High Page ranks, that allow the SEO can add links to their clients website, passing the high Pagerank along the SEO's client. The owners of the big sites can get paid upwards of $800 a month for these links which is pretty good money, when you think that they could have 10 or 20 different links from the same SEO.

Anyway, these same SEO's charge many thousands of dollars to their clients to first raise their Page Rank, when all they did was add the link to say 20 pages of the high ranking website, then $2000-4000 each month to upkeep the SEO for the site.

The problem comes when the website owner doesn't want to keep paying the $2000-4000 then suddenly the links are gone from the high ranking website, the page rank of the website drops, and suddenly they can't find their website in search engines.

What choice does the website owner have but to go back to the SEO, who has by then raised their prices, and ask them to take them back on as clients. I have talked to people of SEO forums that have spent 30-40 thousand dollars in the past 12 months, just getting the SEO to take them back on as clients.

When I do SEO for a client, I make sure that the work I do will last for years after I stop doing the SEO. The only time they might lose a position is when a website selling the exact same thing get's there website SEO'ed. I have two sites that sell gemstones that I do SEO for and I make sure they will both get high ranking for different keyphrases, so they don't conpete with each other.

It would be very easy to do SEO for 20 or so sites that have the exact same product, and not have them competing in search engines.

Wow, a bad testimonal, does this mean I'm a bad SEO or a bad friend?

Bruce Clarke Aotea Web Hosting Wow a bad testimonial. I will post it as it was sent to me, with my responses in Red Hi Lynny, I've been doing SEO work for clients (paid work) since June 2000! Oh, you have one more years experience than me, WOW WEE!!!! I don't think it is a matter of how long you have been trying...how long you have been succeeding seems far more relevant. That is no doubt why you asked for an account of what work I would do for the $500 quote, that should have been $2000, so you could do the work yourself, and not bother paying me. To my thousands maybe millions of readers: This quote was asked for after, what this person is complaining about below. I'm more than capable of doing the work, but like most people doing SEO work, also take on the services of other individuals and companies to help from time to time. Yep I get people to do work for me, but not after they have done a bad job as you claim. I'm not that impressed with your SEO skills frankly. Why don't you post the following on your blog and let people know how wonderful you are at SEO, and search engine submission... Ok, doing that now, thank you for giving me permission, but I would have done it anyway, this is my blog, and I needed something to write about, so thank you. hostingservers. co. uk (unique visitor numbers) your words not mine, although I did put gaps in the url so it won't display as a link. This website has been registered since 2001 so not much SEO has been done on the site to only have this many uniques. Still to be fair our own site, which get's the least SEO work done on it at all, was only getting about that many about that many last year and until Feb 07 when I did some directory submissions 200 of them, now we will get about 5250 this month, that domain name was brought in 04, so you have 3 years head start. There's a lot of hope for your site with 1300 submissions, keep you fingers crossed. Jan 2007 604 Feb 2007 606 Actually paid me in late Feb Mar 2007 604 Started Submision in Early March Apr 2007 587 May 2007 699 Jun 2007 740 Jul 2007 601 did the final 2/3 starting on 27th, for reasons I mentioned below Aug 2007 648 Sep 2007 1022 Oct 2007 905 Back in March we paid Lynny $125 to do SEO search engine and directory submissions for this site. True, and I have to admit, I hung off doing about 2/3 of the submissions until the new site we built was up, as I didn't think anyone would accept your old site. Can you see the difference in unique visitors? (i can't, ...in fact i see a decrease but that's probably a seasonal variation cause not all months are the same). So actually it was even worst, unfortunately I must have choosen the wrong directories you did stipulate that you only wanted to be added to directories with high PR, against my advice. That still is disturbing, but looking at your stats for the year before, yes you do have a seasonal drop in those months. But I am still getting resposes to submission for your site, so the ones I did will be getting mixed up with the next ones now, though still there should have been a few more directory's visiting your site, as I explain later. Last month (Sept) we paid CheapestSubmissions.com NZD $135 ...can you see the diffrence for September & October? ...I can, 57% increase during September, and a 40% increase compared to previous month prior to the submissions for October. This is not a true indication of visitors, each directory a website is submitted to make a visit to the site before they accepting or rejecting it. So his visitors are actually down, drastically, but as I have said in other posts, directory submissions will help brings visitors to your website, so they will come maybe next month or the month after, or the month after...oh that would be Jan 08, another bad month... you will see the visitors went up 5 or 6 weeks later in May and September, from my submissions, thats how long it usally takes for directory submissions to actually start working. I will write a case study tomorrow with screenshots, when this month is finished in the stats, that shows after a submission of only 300 increased a websites vistors by over 6000 in 6 months. So you have already mentioned your website name so I don't need to, you can maybe expect about 18,000 visitors by March next year, by then the submissions I did will be all handled by them so prehaps you can get another 6000, you won't know whatto do with yourself huh. Make up your own mind... would you rather be paying $125 for a -3% decrease for one of your sites, ...or $135 for an average +49% increase (over 2 months following)? ...the stats tell the story Yes the stats does tell a story, the new website we designed and built in July is being accepted by more directory's, and it is coming up to Christmas, when traditionally your website visitors, and your stats are actually up as well. It's a little unfair to say you will get 18,000 visitors in 6 months, there are only 2 reasons people visit a webhosting website, either becuase they are starting a webhosting company themselves and want to look at your prices and undercut them, or they are looking for webhosting, so perhaps you can send me another email in April, and I will post it here, to show the increase in visitors from both my submission and the one thats just been done. ...go with a reliable SEO directory submission services provider: http://www.cheapestsubmissions.com/ Signed Bruce Clarke Aotea Web Hosting These guys seem to be very good, I'm not in anyway saying their service isn't good, I haven't used it, but in fact I might try them out myself. and I will allow the link to them to stay on this blog, and on my new website where I will also post this particular post. It is unfair for the person that wrote this bad testimonal to compare my prices with Indian prices, thats like comparing Sak's with K Mart or a 99 cent store. This website is a good example of duplicate content, and dealing with friends, or in this case a friends of a friend, and giving GOOD DEALS to someone, which I will discuss in a future post. You are still more than welcome to pay me for the idea's for SEO you gobbled up and used rather than paying for, my paypal email is lynny@canzdesign.com and I believe I said $550. For a quote that should have been $2000, but a friend asked me to give it to you cheap. You are more than welcome to come back anytime and read this blog, as I'm sure you are doing right now while I write this response, I freely give away advice here, so I won't consider it and isn't intellectual theft. You can't do that when it's posted for everyone to see. This is not the whole story with this client, but this is turning into a nasty "he said, she said" and I don't have the time I blacklisted this client in my email. God, this is childish.... I was going to go to bed, but think I will start writing more content for my new website. http://www.seobycanz.com/ Lynny The BEST SEO EVER.
