Many websites have more than one url or domain name, there are several reasons for this, one is because a company might want to own all the different domains for the name of their business, eg.

- http://canzdesign.com The original web design business name. Then we brought
- http://canzdesign.co.nz For our New Zealand Branch of the web and graphic design business, and because we lived in New Zealand when we started the business. There have been a couple of other names since but we have always stayed with Canz Design as a base. recently we brought
- http://sefscms.com because we sell a Search Engine Friendly System, Content Management System, and SEFSCMS.com the acronym is of this product.
- There are a couple of other domains names we just letting sit and age, that I have a use for up my sleeve
canzdesign.blogspot.com Which started being a blog about Web Design first , but since I write the blog posts, and only know about SEO, ended up being a blog about SEO.
Then my other website that just specializes in SEO has several names,
- SeobyCanz.com
- SEOByCanz.INFO
- GetResultsWithSEO.com
- ThisSSEOGetsResults.com
- And about 3 or 4 other names, that are just there to mature.
http://seointernetmarketingseo.blogspot.com I have just started because the original canzdesign blog had too much seo in it, and this name is better suited to that the seo subject since SEO is really marketing a website.
I will be also buying another 10 or seo names soon, for various projrcts I have planned in the near future.
Other website owners have many domain names that are quite different and often contains the product or services the businesses the offers for sale, I know of one site that has at least 30 different names, many of them being country specific domain names.
